Carmela`s Mexican Restaurant in Beaumont

I know it's a popular place and Mexican food is not my favorite food anyway but today's experience was not that great. My fajita flameado had way too much cheese and just didn't have that much flavor and one of my friends that was with me actually couldn't eat her food because it was so salty and had to send it back

Very good food. Excellent service! Every employee had a smile. Quick service and reasonable prices. GOOD SALSA :-)

This place was outstanding!!!! If you're looking for those chips and salsa where the salsa is cold.... and delicious... RIGHT HERE. The fajitas and the tacos were downright delicious!!! I wish we didn't live so far away from here!

The best little restraunt, we love the food. Taco nachos and supreme nachos are our favorites. The staff is great and the beer is cold. We always have changes, and the food comes out perfect every time. Heads up on watching for their drinks specials.

Hands-down BEST MEXICAN FOOD in Golden Triangle.! Everything tasted so fresh. Their chips-n- salsa were awesome. Good service. A complete A+!

We went for breakfast and it was delicious. I had Migas. The tortillas were crisp within the eggs. My husband had Huevos Rancheros and it was also excellent. Very friendly service also.

You know it's a great Mexican restaurant if the salsa is fire 🌶🌶

Local Favorite. Great food with delicious choices, reasonable prices, and high quality. Always have had good service. Try their Queso and Quesadillas.

It had been quite a while since we had been here, the food was good and very large portions. The salsa was spicy which was great. Service was good and prices fair. We will come again soon.

Fajitas are delicious, love the chips and queso! Lunches are quick and good prices. Friendly staff :) A nice place to have a family or work lunch.

12/28/15 Had we not been meeting other people, we would have left before we finally found a place to park. The parking is horrible and we had to park next door @the cleaners.Then we went inside and waited and waited and waited. They sort of had a list of people waiting, but not a real good one. I don't know how long we waited before we were finally seated. Yes, I do.........right at 1 hour (I just found texts on my phone). Yes, we should have already left.We were seated.............then NO ONE waited on us. We asked everyone who walked by and no one knew who was waiting on us. We finally got our food, with some mistakes (of course). It got to where my husband got up and got us drink refills, since that was the only way to get them. Of course, splitting the bill was another story. At this point, we've been here over 2-1/2 hrs.We will really reconsider if and when we ever go back to Carmela's. Last time we were there and had a problem I called and told a Manager, but that did no good.

Enjoyed our stop here for a late lunch. It was our first time, but have already had good experiences with Carmela’s in Nederland/Port Arthur area. And since this location was on our route, we decided to try. The food was enjoyable, with very minor differences in taste & preparation compared to the Nederland location. Our server was good, though I wished he smiled a bit more. The cashier, Daniela, was friendly and very pleasant. The dining room was clean and colorful. The restrooms too were clean. There was ample parking around the restaurant. And this location has a bar, plus 2 dining rooms, one on the left (where the bar is) and the other on the right.

Ordered catering size for a party - same day. They were amazing, a total hit a huge value for everything the provided. A total hit, will do it again!

Great atmosphere. The owner came out when he thought my order was taking too long. Turns out my order was at a completely different restaurant 10/10Will return on purpose

Food was hot and so good. Male waiter was not that interested in our services. This will not stop me from going back. Yum!

Carmela's is awesome authentic Mexican food also one of the only restaurants in Beaumont to serve tacos Al pastor! An authentic true Mexican 🌮 taco!so If u get a chance to come to Beaumont please check out Carmela's Mexican restaurant! You will not be disappointed!

Yummy!!! Try the El Torito and the Fajita Salad. Superb, Outstanding and Heavenly Delicious. The service is top notch excellent!!!

This place is a good spot for lunch. But they fill up quick and it's hard to get a parking spot. Go early.

Taco Tuesday is the best.

I wanted to order mex food today delivery. I am sorry i did. Favor delivery overcharged me. They charged me 30.00. I will dispute this by my bank. My plate was 11.98. Plus tax 99 12.98 delivery fees 3.00. Even then it is not 30.00. U dont have to worry i wont order here again nor use favor. But i will get in touch with them give a bad rating

We always get the beef fajitas. It was yummy. This is my favorite guacamole because it is simple. Nothing added in. Delicious salsa. Got menudo to go for breakfast. Service tonight was great.

Catered chicken and beef fajitas for a family gathering and it was wonderful. All the sides included plus utensils and plates, chips and salsa. The full meal with no prep on my part! So easy! Picked it up and everything was packaged so well-no spills! Great job!! Everyone loved it!!

Carmela's has always been a favorite of ours. They do a good job of Tex Mex favorites. We were wondering why it was so crowded on a Saturday noon -- turns out it was Graduation Day for local high schools and they had a special on margaritas for 99 cents. They didn't seem to have extra staff for the large crowd, but they did a good job of taking care of every table.

Hit the spot. Had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and an al pastor taco, loooooved everything, and the staff.

Our first and last trip to Carmella's. We were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered queso and after several dips of the chip, I pulled a hair out. The waitress attempted to argue with us that it wasn't a hair. Then brought us a fresh bowl. Beef fajitas for two were ordered and were served sizzling. The meat was flavored well but tough. Seemed as if we were eating tenderized round steak. Needless to say we left most of our meal on the table.To top it all off on the wall above our booth was a pest control strip that contains dichlorvos. This insecticide should not be used where people occupy a room for more than a couple hours a day.

Love the mexicana breakfast! Scrambled eggs with pico...delicious refried beans and the best has browns hands down!! Be sure and order a small queso with it!! Yum!!!

Fairly common TexMex joint, wish the menu had a lot more diverse food but you can’t really stretch it since every other place is doing the exact same thing. Drinks are large and the chips and dip are decent. This place is good if you don’t wanna make the trek to 10 de Mayo if you’re coming from the north end of Beaumont.

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve found after 5 years in the area - definitely recommend!

My taco was good as usual my tamale arrived cold, my waiter looked at me as if i were a black monster more than once. I don't have on any makeup and I'm not feeling well today and White Privilege gets your salsa Bowl refilled which means my table got none .

THE. GRANDE. BURRITO. I don't need to say anything else. You won't need to purchase anything else. This thing is easily 3 pounds of dinner perfection. A family of 4 could survive on that thing for weeks. Plus it only cost like 10 bucks. All the exaggeration aside, the restaurant is one of the best in Beaumont. Prices are fair. Staff is friendly and professional. The queso is simple but good. Salsa has a decent kick and great taste. Establishment can handle large groups or families. Parking lot can get tight at times but theres just enough room for the size of restaurant. All around good food and atmosphere.

Awesome margaritas! Good food too, but my coworkers and I go there for their margaritas more than their food.

Seated immediately and food came out in a timely manner. It was lunch hour but the food was at the table before we knew. Our server Christopher was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Grate people, fast Service, great food

Service was great, food had a great flavor and even had a little something extra (found some hair in an enchilada)... They remade the dish but never sent a member of management over to assure me that this was an unusual occurrence.

Had such a bad experience last night. The service was horrible. The waiter first insulted me then ignored me. He was rude. Never made a call back to the table to see if the food was ok. And I add that my food tasted burned. All in all a terrible experience. Will I go back, I don't know !!!!!
